Introduction

The 1st International Congress on Health Literacy is part of the project Your PEL - To promote and empower for literacy in health among young people, in response to the Activity number 9: Monitorization and project dissemination.

Simultaneously, it aims to be a space for discussion and sharing around the relevance of health literacy in different settings, from health promotion and protection of the population, to the effectiveness and efficiency of health care delivery.

It frames different contexts and policies, systematizing methodological approaches and innovative experiences in the scope of intervention and research in Health Literacy, at national and international level.

Take part in this scientific event by sharing your research and experience, contributing to the development of research in health literacy.

Abstracts should be submitted in ENGLISH (UK), but the work can be presented at the congress in English or Portuguese.

Selected abstracts will be published in special issue of the European Journal of Public Health . Journal Indexed: MEDLINE, Index Medicus, Scopus, Journal Citation Reports. Evaluated by Thomson Reuters (ISI) with Impact Factor 2782 European Journal of Public HealthIndexed Journal: MEDLINE, Index Medicus, Scopus, Journal Citation Reports.

Information for abstract writting:

– Abstracts must be original in content and structured as follows: Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions;
– Abstracts should have between 1000 to 2000 characters (including spaces);
– The font must be Calibri, size 11;
– The abstracts will be subjected to peer review
– The authors are responsible for the content of their presentations;
– The author who presents the communication or poster must do their application until April 26th;
– The author who presents the communication or the poster should ensure (on behalf of all the authors) the originality of the abstract and authorize its publication in the European Journal of Public Health trough the check box at the final page of the submission form;
– To ensure the publication in the European Journal of Public Health, for each abstract its due the submission tax payment (80€);
